Tyler Johnson was claimed by the Houston Texans on Wednesday, one day after being cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Johnson lands in an interesting spot in Houston. The WRs are led by Cooks and Collins, but Johnson could easily slip right into the WR3 role once he's acclimated.

Buccaneers RB Ronald Jones (ankle) and WR Cyril Grayson (hamstring) remain out of practice. WRs Breshad Perriman (hip) and Tyler Johnson (quad) remain limited. WR Mike Evans (hamstring) practiced in full.

Buried the lede nicely, eh? The Grayson/Jones injuries loom fairly large are productive pieces of the an offense littered with injuries.

That is a lot of necessary names on the injury report. Most should play, and the Bucs did open the practice windows for Leonard Fournette and Gio Bernard.

Buccaneers HC Bruce Arians told reporters Monday that WR Cyril Grayson's hamstring injury "isn't as bad as we thought" but "his availability this week will be in question."

Grayson has stepped up with an injury to Chris Godwin and whatever you want to call the situation with Antonio Brown. This could mean more work for Tyler Johnson with Scott Miller and Jaelon Darden serving as secondary receivers.

Bucs WRs Antonio Brown (ankle), Mike Evans (hamstring), and Tyler Johnson (quad) are questionable for Week 17 against the New York Jets.

If Evans and Brown miss Week 17, it may be best to avoid Bucs wideouts, even in a good matchup against the Jets.

The Bucs will be without their two best wideouts Week 16 with Antonio Brown's status still in question. Look for Rob Gronkowski to be the target leader in Tampa's passing attack.

Owners were probably hoping for a better tag when it was revealed the injury wasn't expected to be serious. However Schefter said Evans does have a chance to play in Week 16 so that's at least some good news. With Chris Godwin out for the year, Evans would likely see a big uptick in targets if he plays. Brown is expected back this week, but reports say he'll play about 30-35 snaps in Week 16. Perriman, Johnson and Miller will have to pick up the slack in the passing game.

Godwin played on the franchise tag this past year and was set to be a free agent. Now, he's out for the season with a long road ahead, Rapoport reminds us. The good news for the Bucs is Evans' hamstring injury isn't supposed to be serious and the team expects to get Brown back for Week 16. According to the Pewter Report, though, HC Bruce Arians says they'll wait and see for how many snaps Brown can play. He's been out since Week 6. The plan is to see how he looks on Wednesday and Thursday and they estimate him for about 30-35 snaps in Week 16, according to the tweet. Perriman is more of a boom or bust, big-play threat, leaving the door open for Johnson and Miller to earn more snaps. The team is also hurt in the passing game with RBs Leonard Fournette and Giovani Bernard out.

Buccaneers HC Bruce Arians told reporters Friday that WR Antonio Brown (ankle) is the only Bucs player ruled out for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.
