Titans HC Brian Callahan said WR Treylon Burks underwent surgery on his torn ACL and he will be out for the season.

Burks never could find a holding in the starting lineup, with or without DeAndre Hopkins on the team. It's been a disappointing first three seasons for the former first-round rookie, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he looks for a fresh start as we head into 2025.

It looks like this could be the Chestnut show, but we won't know until Sunday. If that is the case, this is a situation we should save for DFS contests, not necessarily in redraft lineups.

Even with the un-serious looking Chiefs wide receiver room over the last few weeks, they have remained undefeated. Though Patrick Mahomes has been trending toward the worst statistical performance of his career, it's hard to see why the fans/team would care if they just glide to the Super Bowl again.

This is an obvious boost for Mahomes' fantasy aspirations and puts Hopkins back on the WR2 radar in good matchups. This is also a boost to Calvin Ridley, but his ceiling is still extremely capped with poor quarterback play in a terrible offensive environment.

Hopkins had just one catch for -2 yards in Week 7. Boyd and Ridley led the way with Hopkins hampered by the injury. To further complicate things, it's unclear who will start at QB for the Titans in Week 8, an earlier game at Detroit. Owners definitely want to monitor Hopkins' status leading up to the game. This is mostly an offense to stay away from in typical leagues.

This signing makes all the sense in the world with Brian Callahan at the helm. Boyd should have a decent fantasy floor, but he is the third option—at best—with Will Levis at the helm. Slotting him into a lineup in typical redraft leagues will be difficult.

The Titans are signing Jaguars star WR Calvin Ridley, completing their FA with a splash. The 29-year-old Ridley gets a 4-year, $92M deal with $50M fully guaranteed.

Calvin Ridley finished the 2023 season WR24 after being drafted WR14, so his first (and only) year with the Jaguars was a bit of a disappointment. Now he joins the Titans to play alongside DeAndre Hopkins with Will Levis at quarterback. The Titans have traditionally been pretty run-heavy, but new head coach Brian Callahan served as the offensive coordinator for the Bengals for the last five seasons. He didn't call the plays, but the Bengals were pretty pass-heavy in that span. (Cincinnati was second in pass rate over expectation in each of the last two seasons.) If Callahan brings those pass-heavy tendencies to the Titans, and Levis is up to the task, then Ridley and Hopkins could have productive fantasy seasons.

No Trevor Lawrence (concussion protocol) or Zay Jones (hamstring) at Thursday’s Jaguars practice. Second consecutive day both players have missed.

Looks like it could be a Beathard week, who actually gets a great matchup against the Buccaneers this week, though it wouldn't look as decent if Zay Jones ends up missing. Calvin Ridley would get enough of a target boost to consider him a WR2, while Washington would be a FLEX option.

Jaguars placed WR Christian Kirk on the injured reserve list due to his core injury. He’s out a minimum of four weeks.

Every piece of the receiving corp seemed to get an increase in usage after Kirk sadly went down after only one route (a catch for 26 yards) on Monday Night Football. Ridley continued to be mostly ineffectual with his usage, while tight end Evan Engram and rookie Parker Washington made the most of their opportunities.
Depending on QB Trevor Lawrence's availability in the upcoming weeks, the tertiary pieces of this offense could continue to shine.

Jaguars coach Doug Pederson says Zay Jones is a longshot to play Sunday. Tyson Campbell and Andre Cisco look ready.

Jones has only been involved in three games this season, opening the door for Jamal Agnew and Tim Jones to log more snaps. Kirk and Engram have continued to thrive in this offense after their respective breakouts in 2022.

Zay Jones is considered day-to-day after aggravating a knee injury during Jacksonville’s victory over Buffalo in London.

HC Doug Pederson had noted while speaking Monday that Jones was slated to undergo an MRI. Jones had also missed Weeks 3 and 4 with a knee issue. In three games this season, he has eight catches for 78 yards with two touchdowns.
