This was always the direction Washington was likely headed and now it’s set. Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen were battling for the backup role behind Fitzpatrick. Washington kicks off the season in two weeks against the Chargers. Fitzpatrick is currently our No. 15 quarterback.
