Cook has been ruled out, so fantasy managers are set to be down an RB1 for the semi-finals, so here is hoping you found a way to handcuff Cook with Alexander Mattison this year. Mattison, who was activated from the list yesterday, has a tough matchup against the Los Angeles Rams but has volume-based RB1 appeal. Mattison is currently our third-ranked running back for Week 16.

The Houston Texans have placed WR Brandin Cooks on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

He will need two consecutive negative tests prior to Sunday to play (if vaccinated).

Viking put RB Alexander Mattison and WR Dan Chisena on COVID-19 reserve list, guard Kyle Hinton on practice squad COVID-19 list and LB Ryan Connelly goes to IR.

The Viking claimed RB Gallman off waivers in another move. Gallman likely at least slides in behind Cook and Nwangwu. Cook was dominant last week coming back from a shoulder injury but has dealt with his share of injuries this year and in his career, so his handcuff any given week is always worth noting.

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy is “feeling a lot better” about RB Tony Pollard’s ability to play Sunday.

The Cowboys take on the Giants and already say Pollard's chances are better now versus last week leading up to the game against Washington. Pollard missed his first game of season with a torn plantar fascia. It's worth nothing that Elliott and Clement split the workload, with Zeke getting 12 carries to Clement's 13 and each catching a pass as well.

Pollard said he has a tear in his plantar fascia, which sounds all sorts of awful. If he does not play, Zeke will get a larger workload and still be mediocre.

Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is active for Thursday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cook missed Week 13 with a shoulder injury with what was expected to be a multi-week absence. He was able to practice on a limited basis on Tuesday and Wednesday and has been cleared to play tonight against the Steelers. Cook could be on a pitch count but is still our 12th ranked running back for Week 14.
