Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes injured his ankle while throwing a touchdown pass on Monday night, but he stayed in the game and said afterward that he’s fine.

“Definitely scary,” Mahomes said. “I think it hurt more, just because it’s the same ankle I rolled last week, so it scared me a little bit, but once I took a breath and calmed down a little bit, it ended up not being too bad. We went in there, got a re-spat and went back on the football field.”

Mahomes said he had to argue with both the trainers and coach Andy Reid to assure them he was fine, the story said. Mahomes added he wanted to jog off the field but wasn't allowed. It was a scary moment for fantasy owners who saw Mahomes throw for three TDs in the game. And, his stock seems to be on the rise with the addition of WR DeAndre Hopkins. Mahomes seems like he'll be good to go, but if anything, this is maybe a reminder for Mahomes' owners to back him up on rosters by adding Wentz, especially in deeper, two QB or superflex leagues.

Head coach John Harbaugh told reporters Monday that Keaton Mitchell (knee) has a chance to play in Thursday night's matchup against the Bengals, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

Mitchell tore his ACL in Week 15 last year but has been practicing fully since last week. He didn't play in Week 9 but could get the call in Week 10. We all remember how explosive Mitchell was last year and eventually had stand-alone fantasy value despite not being a bell cow type back. He probably won't be that this season either with Henry leading the way and Hill also showing he's productive. Mitchell will also likely be eased back in the lineup at least to start, but at some point Mitchell could perhaps take over Hill's workload if he can prove to be as dynamic as he was a year ago.

WR Amari Cooper, CB Christian Benford and FB Reggie Gilliam are all considered day-to-day, according to Bills head coach Sean McDermott.

It was a surprise that Cooper was inactive leading up to Week 9. Cooper did log limited sessions last week, so owners will want to pay close attention to this week's practice reports to see if Cooper can get in a full session. The good news for owners is Cooper and the Bills play an early Sunday game at the Colts, so owners should know in plenty of time to adjust their lineups based on Coopers game status.

In his Monday news conference, head coach Raheem Morris said receiver Drake London (hip) and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (Achilles strain) are both considered day-to-day.

It's good news for London and his fantasy owners as the day to day tag gives him a chance at playing in Week 10. The Falcons will visit the Saints in an early Sunday game, so it's a potentially great matchup for London if he can get on the field. It will be worth monitoring London's status this week, and Morris went on to say via the story it could be a pain tolerance issue and the team would know more by Thursday.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown is considered “day to day”.

As Schefter said, it's a big sigh of relief for the Eagles, and Brown's fantasy owners, after Brown left the team's game with a knee injury against the Jaguars. Brown missed time earlier this season with a hamstring injury. While he may not be a lock for Week 10, a later Sunday game at the Cowboys, the day to day status at least gives him a shot at playing this week.

Colts HC Shane Steichen: Joe Flacco starts at QB vs. Buffalo on Sunday.

Flacco struggled again in Week 9, going 16 for 27 for 179 yards and an INT. The Colts defense scored their only touchdown of the game. This week the Colts host the Bills, so it won't get any easier for Flacco and the Colts offense. From a fantasy angle, Flacco was last productive back in Week 6 in a 20-17 win over the Titans when he threw for two touchdowns but still only had just 189 yards passing.

Lions WR Jameson Williams had his 2 game suspension lifted and he has officially been reinstated.

Detroit went 2-0 with him out of the lineup, and now get the big play speedster back, the post went on to say. While Williams was suspended, another story broke about a concealed weapon charge, so Williams may not be out of the woods yet as far as missing time. Williams will be good to go for Week 10 which is a Sunday night game at the Texans.

Running back Christian McCaffrey is back on the practice field with the 49ers.

Videos from reporters showed McCaffrey on the field Monday, but any word on his participation level won’t come until Wednesday’s injury report is released.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said last week that the plan was for McCaffrey, who has missed the entire season with an Achilles injury, to spend the bye week ramping up his work before joining the team at practice this week. That plan did not change and the 49ers officially opened his window to return on Monday, the story went on to say. McCaffrey can practice for the next 21 days before the team would reach a deadline to activate him, but Shanahan indicated that the hope was to have McCaffrey available against the Buccaneers in Week 10 the story added.

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, CeeDee Lamb has a sprained AC joint. The injury is not considered serious and Lamb has a chance to play against the Eagles in Week 10.

Lamb was injured in the first half of Sunday’s loss to the Falcons. But Lamb played through the issue, finishing the game with eight catches for 47 yards, the story pointed out. So the hope is Lamb is good to go in Week 10, which is a later Sunday game vs. the Eagles. The Cowboys, of course, will be without Dak Prescott and will have to go with Cooper Rush at QB. Lamb should remain a target hog if he plays, but it could be another tough go against an Eagles defense that has played well as of late.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott’s hamstring injury was worse than initially feared. He is expected to miss multiple weeks, sources tell me and Tom Pelissero.

Some thought it would initially be a short-term injury, but that doesn't appear to be the case. It's a big blow for the Cowboys who were already struggling this year, but Rush at QB likely won't help the overall passing game, and it's a downgrade for Lamb owners as well. The Cowboys could try and play a little more a ball-control offense, but their run game is among the worst in the league. The Cowboys will host the Eagles this week who have been on a bit of a roll defensively.
