Texans place Dameon Pierce on injured reserve

The Texans placed RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) on injured reserve Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

With four weeks left in the season, that means Pierce’s season is over. The Texans also placed their No. 3 overall pick Derek Stingley Jr. on IR. With nothing to play for, the Texans figure they’ll start packing it in and begin prep for next season. Pierce had a good rookie season, rushing for 939 yards in 13 games. Houston will move forward with Dare Ogunbowale and Rex Burkhead in the backfield.

This puts Schoonmaker more or less in TE streaming consideration, but there are far better options this week, which puts him low on the totem pole.

Eagles WR DeVonta Smith officially Out for Week 12

Eagles ruled out WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) for Sunday against the Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
