Brian Westbrook will make another visit to the concussion specialists in Pittsburgh this week, but coach Andy Reid said he didn't know exactly when and couldn't say what it might mean for the running back's immediate football future.
Reid said trainer Rick Burkholder was in the process yesterday of setting up the appointments for Westbrook, who visited Joseph Maroon, a neurosurgeon, and Michael Collins, a neuropsychologist, at the University of Pittsburgh on Nov. 18.
The doctors said in a joint statement that day that they expected Westbrook to make a "full recovery" after suffering two concussions in a 20-day span.
The doctors said they had "developed a comprehensive physical rehab plan" for Westbrook and would repeat his testing in two to three weeks.
Westbrook, who has missed the last two games, performed some physical activities last week.
"He had a mild headache after a workout last week, so we'll just see what the doctor says," Reid said. "It's up to what they say."
Reid said he didn't know if Westbrook could be cleared to practice if he did well in the tests.
