Lions Beat: Use of RBs Dwayne Washington, Justin Forsett depends on flow of game

I expect both RBs Dwayne Washington and Justin Forsett to be active and available for the Lions on Sunday and how Detroit splits their carries will likely depend on the game and on the health of Theo Riddick.

With Riddick out, figure that Washington and Forsett will both see in the neighborhood of 10 to 12 carries, particularly against a beaten-up Los Angeles defensive line. How the two are used could depend on game situations, too.

Related players: Zach Zenner

Fantasy Impact:

Washington has a better handle on the offense than Forsett because Forsett just signed with Detroit this week. Washington has shown he can be a good combination of size and speed. He’s definitely a more versatile option than Forsett as of now and a bigger back if the Lions need to grind the ball with the lead late in the game. The Lions also have Zach Zenner, who can handle some of that role. Washington seems like the safer play at this point, but it seems like all three backs will be involved making it a tricky situation.
