Drew Brees told me he’s planning to practice this week.

Fantasy Impact:

Triplett added Brees hopes he’s able to play next Sunday against Arizona, but it’s still a “we’ll see” based on how the week goes. Brees has been eyeing Week 8 for a while now, but with a bye in Week 9, the Saints may play it safe and give Brees an extra week off, especially after going 5-0 under Bridgewater.

This puts Schoonmaker more or less in TE streaming consideration, but there are far better options this week, which puts him low on the totem pole.

Eagles ruled out WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) for Sunday against the Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
