Primetime DFS Slate Breakdown: Week 8
It's a tale of two completely different games for the Week 8 Primetime slate as Sunday Night sees two contenders in the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers square off, but Monday Night sees two struggling teams in the Pittsburgh Steelers and winless Miami Dolphins take the field.
Let's break down the games and how we can find the edge that will get us to the top of the standings.
Injuries
- Davante Adams, GB, WR - Doubtful
- Robert Tonyan, GB, TE - Doubtful
- Patrick Mahomes, KC, QB - OUT
The Monday Night game is quiet on the injury front but two of the bigger names in the game will be absent on Sunday Night as Patrick Mahomes and Davante Adams will be relegated to the sidelines. For the Packers, that means the quartet of Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Geronimo Allison, Allen Lazard, and Jake Kumerow will fight it out for passes from Aaron Rodgers. The Chiefs will look to Matt Moore to lead them to victory and I expect this to be a benefit for the running game more than the passing game.
Author Update - A couple of key updates heading into Sunday Night Football - both from the Monday Night game. First, Kenyan Drake has been ruled out. This is a big bump for Mark Walton and Kalen Ballage and both are viable options now. The other news is Jaylen Samuels will play and he becomes a viable value option, although I still think it's James Conner's game to dominate.
