KMBC 9 Kansas City said on Friday that Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe was ready to sign his tender and report to camp but it’s apparent that the report was untrue.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweets that Bowe is unlikely to sign his franchise tender until before the start of the regular season. This comes on the heels of a ProFootballTalk.com report that stated KMBC 9’s information was erroneous. It appears the standoff between Bowe and the Chiefs will continue.
