Streaming Quarterbacks: Week 10 Targets

To be honest, I’m not surprised Joe Flacco finished as a QB1 against the Patriots. Too many things have happened throughout the season for something like that to faze me. His performance (like Jake Luton’s and Garrett Gilbert’s) forces me to reassess my thoughts on any game. We dismissed Flacco after seeing his opponent. However, without Stephon Gilmore and two other defensive starters, our expectations should have been adjusted. Not enough to recommend Flacco as a streamer, but to take a closer look at the range of outcomes for his matchup. With the playoffs getting close, we’ll need to consider every detail. Week 10 has another decent set of options to stream so let’s dive into last week’s results before we look at the plays for the upcoming week.

Week 9 Review

Week 9 was a better week for the streamers. The process got us on one Top-12 finish with two others finishing in the Top 20. Despite the productive weekend, let’s take a deeper look at some of the recommendations for some takeaways.

Top Streamers

Kyle Allen – 2.5 pts (QB30)
Drew Lock – 29.2 pts (QB4)

Deep Plays

Kirk Cousins – 20.8 pts (QB17)
Tua Tagovailoa – 21.4 pts (QB16)

Tua is well on his way to being a top-rated passer in the league. He should have had a third touchdown, but overthrew Mike Gesicki in the end zone. Regardless, his ability to escape pressure was on display against the Cardinals. Tua had seven rush attempts and passed on 66.7% of their offensive plays while inside the 20-yard line. With the Dolphins’ offense on the rise, we’ll be talking about their new starting quarterback as a streaming option more throughout the season.
