Jonathan Mingo is expected to make his debut for the Cowboys this week, per MM.

Mingo was inactive last week following the trade to allow time for ramping up.

We wouldn't expect a ton of action from Mingo fantasy-wise, but it's not as if he has a murderer's row of talent standing between himself and a WR2 role. He can be left on waiver wires in most every format, but might be worth checking to see if he ended up on waiver wires in Dynasty leagues.

According to multiple reports, Dallas is acquiring second-year receiver Jonathan Mingo from Carolina.

The Cowboys will receive Mingo and a 2025 seventh-round pick for a 2025 fourth-round pick. Mingo, 23, was a second-round pick last season, catching 43 passes for 418 yards. But he has been largely phased out of the offense in 2024, catching just 12 passes for 121 yards in nine games — despite being on the field for 56 percent of the club’s offensive snaps. Mingo has not had a catch since the Oct. 13 loss to Atlanta, and that was for just 1 yard. He’s received four targets over the last two games, the story went on to say. In Carolina, Legette should remain the team's top target. Thielen could end up getting moved today as well, but is due back soon. Coker should get WR2 looks for the rest of the season. Meanwhile in Dallas, Lamb is banged up but has a chance to play in Week 10. Mingo could eventually climb up as the WR2 if he can pass Tolbert, but this change of scenery could at least leave him as the team's WR3 in the immediate future once he gets up to speed. Coker has already been a popular pickup, but if Mingo is on your wire he may be worth adding with the hope his value goes up, mostly in deeper leagues.

The Panthers get a 5th round pick. It didn't take the Panthers long after rumors were starting to circulate Johnson was in play. The landing spot in Baltimore is interesting to say the least. The big question is will the Ravens consistently throw the ball enough with Travis Henry and Lamar Jackson for Johnson, Flowers and Andrews to keep their fantasy value. It remains to be seen who takes the biggest hit to their value, but the odds seem to favor Flowers here. Meanwhile in Carolina, Thielen is about to return but it's likely time to see what Legette and Mingo can do for the Panthers and the future of their offense.

Multiple contending teams are interested, though determining Johnson’s value has been challenging with him in the last year of his contract, the post went on to say. There isn't much reason to keep Johnson in Carolina. He's certainly flashed this year, but it was only with Andy Dalton under center. The Panthers would be able to give the snaps and targets to Legette and Mingo, who were early picks each of the last two seasons in the NFL Draft. Johnson going to a potential contender with a veteran QB would be a huge boost to his fantasy value.

The Panthers ruled out WRs Diontae Johnson (rib) and WR Adam Thielen (hamstring), while QB Andy Dalton (right thumb) is doubtful.

So it'll be Bryce Young throwing to backup receivers on Sunday in Denver.

It's probably not a good idea to start any Panthers players this week, and that likely includes Chuba Hubbard.

Adam Thielen said he thinks the plan is to open his 21-day practice window on Wednesday.

Thielen has missed the last four games the post went on to say. He's dealing with a hamstring injury. The Panther offense is struggling again, even under Andy Dalton, but Thielen's presence would be a welcome addition and perhaps be a reliable target for Dalton. He could also help to open things up for a frustrated Johnson. It remains to be seen if Thielen would play in Week 8, even if his window is opened this week.

Damien Lewis (elbow), Shy Tuttle (foot), Lonnie Johnson (hip).

Three other players questionable: Robert Hunt (hip), Diontae Johnson (groin), A'Shawn Robinson (knee).

This would be a bummer if Johnson missed after the offense was absolutely humming while he compiled an 8-122-1 stat line in Week 3. It'd be an even bigger blow to the offense as a whole after they just lost WR Adam Thielen. If Johnson is a go, consider him a WR2 but if he misses this passing attack may end up being one to avoid altogether.

The Panthers will be without one of their key offensive players for at least four weeks.

Carolina is placing Adam Thielen on injured reserve after he suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday’s victory over the Raiders, according to multiple reports.

Thielen sustained the injury while catching a 31-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter. Thielen is expected to return to the field at some point in 2024, the story said. The rookie Legette and Mingo, along with Moore, all move up the depth chart. Legette had two catches for 42 yards and Mingo caught three for 18 in Week 3. Both players have six total catches this season. Look for Hubbard to likely remain heavily involved in the passing game, too.

A bit of a shocker: Panthers are releasing WR Terrace Marshall.

Some who follow the team thought Marshall was having a good camp and potentially turning things around for himself. But, the Panthers paid a lot of attention to the WR position the last couple of years. They traded for Johnson this spring after signing Thielen the previous year. Also this spring, they drafted Legette at the end of the first round, after selecting Mingo the previous season, that left Marshall buried down the depth chart.

The Steelers are sending WR Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers. A new weapon for Bryce Young. Johnson has a $3 million roster bonus due Friday that the Panthers now will pay.

This is certainly good news for Bryce Young after the team brought him on board with arguably the worst pass-catching unit in the NFL last year. Johnson should instantly become the focal point of this offense, but the team still desperately needs help at WR, TE, and RB before we get too excited about the Panthers in fantasy.

For the Steelers, this also has them trending in the wrong direction on excitement-level, but it makes George Pickens very intriguing. This puts him in the conversation for a fringe WR2/3, not unlike Courtland Sutton with Russell Wilson the last two seasons.
