2025 NFL Mock Draft 3.0
1. Titans: Cam Ward - QB - Miami
After originally being open to waiting on a QB, the Titans have fallen in love with Cam Ward throughout the draft process. There is little doubt at this point that anyone other than Ward will be the pick.
2. Browns: Travis Hunter - DB - Colorado
Adam Schefter recently reported that the Browns are now most likely to pick Travis Hunter. He has now suggested Abdul Carter, Hunter, and a QB at some point in the past two months for the Browns so this is far from set in stone. That being said, it makes much more sense to take Hunter or Shadeur Sanders than to double down on a pass-rusher after dishing a massive contract to Myles Garrett and having one of the worst offenses in the league.
They need some playmakers offensively, and Hunter fits the bill, especially after going out of their way to say they view him as a WR first in the NFL.
3. Giants: Abdul Carter - EDGE - Penn State
The Giants are probably open to drafting a rookie QB here, even after signing both Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this offseason but Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll are fighting for their jobs. They have two reasonable options at QB and need to keep adding other difference-makers. Even with Kayvon Thibodeaux and Brian Burns, the Giants could opt to add another player in Abdul Carter, who does have some experience playing off the ball early in his career at Penn State.
The Giants are also having him in for a private visit and took him out to dinner recently. I think they will receive multiple calls at this position for a trade-up, but either way, it’s tough to imagine Abdul Carter falling out of the top-3 without Shadeur Sanders going 2nd.
4. Patriots: Will Campbell - OL - LSU
Will Campbell’s arms magically grew between the Combine and his Pro Day and the NFL's standard thresholds of arm lengths have been hit. In all seriousness, the Pats reportedly seem to really like Will Campbell, and if both Hunter and Carter are gone, they probably pick Campbell.
5. Jaguars: Mason Graham - DL - Michigan
New GM James Gladstone has been vocal about beefing up the trenches on both sides of the ball. This could mean an offensive lineman here instead, but for now, I’m rolling with Graham who would be a great fit for a Jaguars defense lacking talent.
6. Raiders: Will Johnson - CB - Michigan
Ashton Jeanty is the chalk here, but I think there are some viable reasons that the Raiders *won’t* take him. Pete Carroll was burned by his last first-round running back (Rashaad Penny), and John Spytek historically hasn’t been a part of an organization that has taken a running back in the first round. The highest RB pick he has been a part of was Ronald Jones with the Bucs (38th overall), and that obviously also didn’t turn out well. Jeanty is a caliber above those players, but there is likely some bad taste in their mouths outside of pure positional value. The Raiders also brought in Chip Kelly from Ohio State as OC. There are two draft-eligible Ohio State running backs, one of which will likely be available at their next selection.
Instead of Jeanty, I wound up on CB Will Johnson. The Raiders recently released CB Jack Jones and now boast a CB room of Eric Stokes, Decamerion Richardson, Jakorian Bennett, and Darnay Holmes. That is arguably the worst on-paper cornerback room in the league.
One of the biggest knocks on Will Johnson is his lack of experience playing man coverage. That won’t be a problem in Pete Carroll’s cover-3, zone-heavy defense.
On top of the schematic fit, Carroll was part of the regime that selected Devon Witherspoon in Seattle 5th overall. Spytek has been a part of multiple organizations that have prioritized CB early as well. For what it’s worth, Johnson, Spytek, and new minority owner Tom Brady are all Michigan graduates, too. Johnson’s upcoming private workout on April 14th could swing things either way for teams who have been waiting to watch him in person. If he crushes athletic testing I think this pick becomes very viable.
7. Jets: Armand Membou - OL - Mizzou
The post-Rodgers era is certainly going to be interesting, and the Jets need a lot of help, all over the field. Membou would be a good fit as a versatile OL who needs some beef up front in what could be a run-heavy approach with Justin Fields and Breece Hall.
8. Panthers: Jalon Walker - LB - Georgia
The Panthers need to continue adding players on defense, with the offense finding an identity late in the season. Jalon Walker is one of the most dominant defenders in the draft, so grabbing him at No. 8 would help the Panthers improve on that front quickly.
9. Saints: Ashton Jeanty - RB - Boise State
I had this in my last mock and am sticking with it. If the Raiders pass on Jeanty I think there is a very real chance he lands with the Saints. Alvin Kamara turns 30 in July of this year and hasn’t played a full season since his rookie year where he was used as a pass-catching plus back in space.
As it stands today, I believe Jeanty goes anywhere from 6 to 10, so adding some thunder to whatever lightning Kamara has left has to intrigue the Saints. There is also the connection between the Saints' new HC Kellen Moore and Ashton Jeanty who both went to Boise State. Before landing his job with the Saints, Moore said Jeanty is the "complete package" and is "going to have a huge impact on this league."
10. Bears: Tyler Warren - TE - Penn State
The Bears made quick work of addressing the interior of their offensive line with three new starters who will all be above-average to good for them. Their current tackle situation features former first-rounder Darnell Wright at RT and mid-round pick Braxton Jones at LT, who has played really well considering how much they pay him and where they drafted him. His PFF grade by year is 19th/81, 34th/91, 21st/81.
The Bears, at this point, are likely not drafting OL here, and in this scenario, with Jeanty off the board, Tyler Warren would be another weapon for Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson to utilize. It would also not shock me for this pick to be Omario Hampton if they really want a top-tier running back. However, this draft class has plenty of strong RB options that could perform well in tandem with Swift.
That leads me to Tyler Warren, who lined up all over the offense, including 40 snaps at QB, 70 in the backfield, 414 inline, 293 in the slot, and 93 out wide. He truly played everywhere. Penn State was able to get creative with him which is surely something that catches the eye of Ben Johnson. He is also a great tight end in his own right.
11. 49ers: Kelvin Banks Jr - OL - Texas
Banks is shooting up mock drafts and for good reason. He has multiple outs in the top 15 picks, one of which is here. The 49ers need to continue beefing up the OL, and Banks has flashed a ton of upside in the past.
12. Cowboys: Matthew Golden - WR - Texas
Golden would add some much-needed depth to the Cowboys' wide receiver room, plus more field-stretching ability after running a 4.29 at the NFL Combine.
13. Dolphins: Malaki Starks - S - Georgia
Daniel Jeremiah mentioned on a podcast, “I have not heard one team that didn’t LOVE him (Starks) in interviews.” Starks continues to move up my mock drafts and lands with the Dolphins, who have Ashtyn Davis and Ifeatu Melifonwu at safety.
14. Colts: Colston Loveland - TE - Michigan
We know the Colts were interested in Brock Bowers last year and attempted to trade up. I think they would also be interested in Warren if he falls here but that’s seemingly less and less likely. They need to continue surrounding Anthony Richardson with playmakers for him to even have a chance to be successful, given his other problems as a passer.
15. Falcons: Mykel Williams - DL - Georgia
The Falcons need to address their defensive line, and Williams would be a strong start. Falcons HC Raheem Morris has mentioned twice this offseason they need to address the defensive line saying “Last year, we had a really clear goal of drafting a quarterback. This year, we obviously have to increase our pass rush, so we’ll definitely have an eye for those guys” in February and “I think you can’t have enough edge rushers. You want to continue to add those guys as much as you can.” at the league meeting on April 1st.
16. Cardinals: Derrick Harmon - DL - Oregon
Harmon ripped a sub-5.0 40 at 313 pounds and 6’4, which isn’t a massive indicator of DL success, but he is very athletic, and the Cardinals need help on the defensive line outside of Dalvin Tomlinson.
17. Bengals: Mike Green - EDGE - Marshall
Green is a tough player to gauge after being accused of sexual assault once in high school and twice at UVA before transferring to Marshall. He is talented and has some good traits, but some teams will likely have him off the board entirely.
18. Seahawks: Greg Zabel - OL - North Dakota State
Zabel is a versatile offensive lineman who would provide depth and upside for the Seahawks. At 6’6, 312, Zabel would provide an upgrade for the Seahawks, who will likely look a lot different offensively next year without Geno Smith, DK Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett.
19. Buccaneers: Jihaad Campbell - LB - Alabama
Campbell ripped a 4.52 at the combine at 6’3, 235 after putting up a strong final season at Alabama with 11/5 tackles for loss and 5 sacks. The Bucs have some needs on both sides of the ball but an impact linebacker could be a value here. He fits exactly what Todd Bowles wants, but is reported to have some injury concerns.
20. Broncos: Omarion Hampton - RB - North Carolina
There has been non-stop buzz about Sean Payton adding a “joker” to his offense but the reality is they just need more playmakers. Their skill players collectively are some of the least inspiring in the league. Hampton would provide an instant bump to their running game, and like Loveland with Warren, some teams will have Hampton over Jeanty.
21. Steelers: Shadeur Sanders - QB - Colorado
The slide stops here. I still think Sanders is somewhat live at #2 overall but if he doesn’t go in the top 3, his outs are really thin until the 20’s. The Steelers could also straight up prefer Jaxson Dart or Jalen Milroe to Sanders. I’m not quite ready to go there yet, but the Steelers lost both Justin Fields and Russell Wilson this offseason, leaving Mason Rudolph as the primary starter. They are seemingly still in the Aaron Rodgers sweepstakes, but he may be waiting until after the draft to make sure they don’t take a rookie here. Although, Rodgers with Shadeur and his accompanying hoopla would make for incredible content.
22. Chargers: Tet McMillan - WR - Arizona
The Chargers need to add more pass-catchers beyond Ladd McConkey, and Tet’s big build and potential dominance as an outside wideout blends nicely with McConkey’s ability to get open in short-intermediate areas.
23. Packers: Jahdae Barron - CB - Texas
The Packers love high RAS guys, and Barron fits the bill. Daniel Jeremiah mentioned on a recent podcast that despite his affinity for Barron most teams view him closer to a mid-20s guy than what mock drafts have been suggesting lately.
24. Vikings: Nick Emmanwori - S - South Carolina
Emmanwori is a late riser after putting up a perfect 10 RAS at the combine after running a 4.38 at 6’3, 220 pounds, a 43-inch vertical, and an 11-foot broad jump. Adding Emmanwori to the Vikings' chaotic defense would be a fun chess piece.
25. Texans: Josh Simmons - OL - Ohio State
Simmons was once projected to be a top pick but suffered a torn patellar tendon in 2024. He is expected to be ready for the 2025 season and could be a massive value if he comes out of this healthy. The Texans signed Christian Kirk and have Nico Collins while getting rid of nearly every starter on the offensive line this offseason. They need to continue building there with youth.
26. Rams: Jaxson Dart - QB - Ole Miss
Matthew Stafford enters his age-37 season and may be nearing the end of his career. Letting a rookie QB develop behind Stafford could make a ton of sense.
27. Ravens: Shemar Stewart - EDGE - Texas A&M
Stewart has all the traits and none of the production, a project the Ravens may be interested in undertaking at this point in the draft.
28. Lions: Tyler Booker - OL - Alabama
Booker has a wide range in mocks, but Booker would help the Lions continue to beef up the offensive line and add depth.
29. Commanders: Donovan Ezeiruaku - DL - Boston College
Ezeiruaku is a fringe first-rounder but after recording 16.5 sacks his final season at Boston College will likely get a heavy look here.
30. Bills: Kenneth Grant - DL - Michigan
The Bills' run defense was periodically a problem last season, and Grant could be a Day 1 starter.
31. Chiefs: James Pearce Jr. - EDGE - Tennessee
Pearce has some character concerns, but there is no denying his talent after running a 4.47 at the combine and racking up 21 combined sacks and 71 hurries in his final two seasons at Tennessee. The Chiefs are known for taking players with questionable intangibles and turning them into stellar players.
32. Eagles: Walter Nolen - DL - Ole Miss
The Eagles are pretty live to trade up for a falling player, considering they have 20 picks in the next two drafts. In this mock, they grab Walter Nolen, a player who could rotate in and develop outside of pure athleticism.
