Akers got most of the RB load in Week 3 but in a game where they were playing from behind, that equated to only nine rush attempts. He should get more run against the Patriots if Mixon and Pierce miss, making him a fringe RB2/3.

This could mean more snaps for veteran Robert Woods, but you would figure that more of the share would simply go to Collins and Diggs, with a little more for Schultz. Collins and Diggs are respective WR1 and WR2s for Week 4.

The Houston Texans and wide receiver Nico Collins have agreed to a three-year, $72.75 million extension that includes $52 million guaranteed. The contract has a maximum value of $75 million.

Collins, 25, is coming off a career-best season in which he had 80 receptions (ranked 23rd in the NFL last season) for 1,297 yards (ranked 8th) and eight touchdowns (tied for 8th) in 15 games.

Diggs is only playing on a one-year deal, as the Texans voided the final three years of his contract while giving him a $3.5M raise. If they allow him to walk next season, Collins will be the clear WR1, if he isn't already. Both receivers are good early-round options in fantasy drafts right now, with Tank Dell being an interesting option a few rounds later, even with Diggs in town.

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was shot in Sanford, Fla., on Saturday night and sustained a minor wound. He has been released from the hospital and is in “good spirits,” the Texans said Sunday.

“We are in contact with (Dell) and his family and will provide more updates when appropriate but we ask that you please respect his privacy at this time,” the team said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the incident.”

Scary situation for Dell, but it looks as if this will have no impact on his off-season program. Dell hit the injured reserve in December due to a fibula but we expect to see him involved in team activities by the time the Summer program wraps up.

The Buffalo Bills are trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick (via the Vikings).

The Texans also receive a 2025 fifth-round pick and sixth-round pick.

Nico Collins stepped up in a big way with 191 yards and a touchdown on 9 catches. He'll lead the charge with Noan Brown and John Metchie among those behind him. The Texans face the Jets in Week 14.

WR Tank Dell (calf) has returned to practice today after missing yesterday. DeMeco Ryans had been optimistic about Dell. A good sign. TE Dalton Schultz (hamstring) missed yesterday and isn't on the field today.
