Another setback for what has been nothing short of a dramatic beginning to a career. The next time we see Williams on the field will be in mid-October, following his gambling suspension. This opens the door for other Lions options to pick up the slack alongside St. Brown, as the sophomore wide receiver has to be thought of as an easy fade at his 11th-round ADP.

Williams continues to impress and looks to be well ahead of schedule. Those thinking he would take a similar path to J.K. Dobbins could be proved wrong if Williams can look good and emerge from this week's game. As of now, Williams looks like he'll be good to go for Week 1 fantasy lineups, likely sharing a workload with Perine.

With only 37 routes run through six truncated games to begin his career, it's obvious that this is not what Detriot had in mind when selecting him with the 12th-overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. If everything goes to plan during his time away from the team, Williams *should* be able to operate as the team's WR2 by the end of 2023, which will push down the veterans playing opposite St. Brown. Amon-Ra remains a very interesting selection in this year's fantasy drafts, but we'll have to slightly temper expectations in the back-half of the season with the return of Williams and the addition of receiving-game specialist rookie Jahmyr Gibbs.

This likely means the end of the season for Tim Patrick. Mims will be the most intriguing name to be following throughout the rest of camp, and should be the favorite to find himself in 3WR sets.

Williams, a second-round draft pick by the Broncos in 2021 and an All-Rookie team member that season, suffered a torn ACL and LCL in his right knee in the Broncos' Oct. 2 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. He said he was initially given a timetable of 12-to-18 months to return to the field.

Even with all the optimism, it still seems like veteran RB Samaje Perine could have a hefty workload to start the year.

This matches up with an earlier report that Williams thought he would be "ready to go" by Week 1. This doesn't necessarily mean that he is back to full health but this is good news nonetheless. With a slight bit of pessimism about him being all the way back to 100%, Javonte should be considered a low-end RB2 for now.

I feel like I'm ready to go" when asked if he would be medically cleared for training camp. An optimist could take away that it means he will be ready for Week 1, but we should probably wait for some more ringing endorsements before we jump on that train. With those worries still in the air, Javonte should still be considered a low-end RB2 for the time being.

Williams, a second-round pick in 2021, suffered an ACL tear in Week 4 against the Raiders last season and sustained other damage in the knee as well. Being ready for the start of training camp would represent a relatively rapid recovery for Williams, whose absence was felt significantly by Denver’s league-worst offense last season.

We'll need more positive reports before we can feel wholly comfortable drafting Williams in ongoing best ball leagues. It still feels very likely that the team may add an additional veteran piece to this equation.

The Broncos are picking up the fifth-year option on WR Jerry Jeudy, locking him in for 2024. No surprise, they had plenty of interest from teams wanting to trade for him, but Jeudy is a big part of their future.

"Plenty of interest" seems like quite the stretch, considering the rumors that the team was shopping both Jeudy and Courtland Sutton for months now. The team also spent a second-round pick on Marvin Mims. A fading Russell Wilson needs all the help he can get, but this could possibly point toward a future trade involving Sutton.

As it stands, Jeudy finds himself somewhere in the WR3 range for fantasy.

Jets GM Joe Douglas spoke today about Zach Wilson learning behind Aaron Rodgers, and sources say Wilson has been very receptive to the idea of a redshirt year or two. The coaches have been open with him on the plan, and good dialogue has followed on it.

So Wilson's on board.

This news obviously doesn't make a difference in typical redraft leagues, but for SuperFlex Dynasty leagues, it could be important. If the Jets build the offense up around Rodgers, but he ends up leaving in a year or two, it only makes sense that it could benefit Wilson down the road. Of course, Wilson's ineptitude is what forced their hand in the first place, but we've seen weirder things than a quarterback learning under a Hall of Fame veteran.
