The Falcons are signing former Commanders QB Taylor Heinicke. With plenty of starting experience, Atlanta adds a veteran to their QB room.

For the Falcons and Taylor Heinicke, it’s a two-year deal worth up to $20 million. Atlanta has said Desmond Ridder is the starter, and that's top-end backup money.

Titans star RB Derrick Henry (hip) isn’t expected to play tonight. He is officially listed as doubtful and is not set to play as a precautionary step, joining many of the other Tennessee starters. He is fully expected to play in Week 18.

As was predicted throughout the week, the Titans are taking a precautionary route in a game that truly doesn't matter for their playoff-seeding implications. Hassan Haskins will take 11 career carries into this game, so we'll see if they ride him as they would if Henry were out there. Haskins is an acceptable Flex play for Championship matchups.

Titans RB Derrick Henry is DOUBTFUL to play Thursday against the Cowboys.

It's actually a pretty meaningless game for both teams, so resting Henry does make some sense - unless you own him and you're in your fantasy league finals, of course. For the Titans, a loss on Thursday night still sets up a divisional showdown in Week 18 against the Jags. So it would appear Tennessee is possibly saving Henry for that game. Haskins should be in store for a big workload if Henry is out on Thursday night, so those in need of a replacement should probably act now.

Commanders’ QB Carson Wentz will start Sunday vs. Cleveland.

Heinicke, who started hot after taking over for the injured Wentz, has turned the ball over eight times over the team's last six games - including three picks and five fumbles. Meanwhile, Wentz broke his right ring finger in October and has been the backup the last few weeks after getting cleared. The Commanders are 7-7-1, clinging to the NFC’s seventh and final playoff spot, and now need Wentz to come through, Schefter went on to say. Wentz at least has some superflex value going forward.

Seahawks have just announced tight end Will Dissly is going on Injured Reserve with a knee injury suffered Saturday, so his season is over.

Both Fant and Parkinson could see increased roles. Fant did catch a TD last week against the Chiefs but finished with a 2-12-1 line while Parkinson had three catches for 45 yards.

After a pair of late turnovers in Sunday’s loss to the 49ers, Commanders head coach Ron Rivera benched quarterback Taylor Heinicke in favor of Carson Wentz.

The No. 2 overall pick of the 2016 draft had a solid showing in his limited work, completing 12-of-16 passes for 123 yards with a touchdown.

Rivera said he wanted to talk to everyone involved before he makes a decision. He wants to make sure he has all ideas, thoughts and concepts and he wants to make sure the players have a voice.

The Bengals ruled out Hayden Hurst for Saturday’s game at New England due to his calf injury.

Things were trending well through the week, but clearly, the team doesn't want to risk anything to one of their offensive weapons, particularly after last night's Jets loss locked them into the playoffs. Mitchell Wilcox can operate as a high-end TE2 for TE desperate teams.

The Bengals are going through their final walkthrough before heading to New England tonight. Looks like everyone is here except Sam Hubbard. Jay Tufele is back after missing due to illness yesterday. Hayden Hurst is wearing a jersey so that’s another encouraging sign.

If Hurst is good to go, he should be considered a fringe TE1/2. Whoever gets the nod this week is going to have a positive matchup in New England against a defense that ranks top-10 in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to every offensive position except tight end, where they rank 24th.
