Guillotine League Week 13 Waiver Wire Options & FAAB Breakdown

With only two weeks to claim chopped players using your FAAB in guillotine leagues, it’s time to tighten up your rosters. Boom-or-bust players are no longer as welcome, as they can get you chopped based on how small the player pool is moving forward.

Don’t spend all your FAAB though, as you can still bid on the non-chopped players on waivers which could prove valuable if there’s a major injury and their backup is not rostered.

A lot of big names were chopped last week so there should be plenty of players to add. Here are the top 10 players chopped across all positions and the percentage of leagues where they were axed.

Top 10 Most Chopped Players, Week 12
Team Position Player Chopped %
MIN WR Justin Jefferson 27.0%
WAS RB Brian Robinson 22.7%
IND RB Jonathan Taylor 22.1%
LV TE Brock Bowers 21.4%
PHI QB Jalen Hurts 21.3%
HOU RB Joe Mixon 21.0%
SF RB Christian McCaffrey 20.1%
NE RB Rhamondre Stevenson 20.0%
TB TE Cade Otton 19.4%
PIT WR George Pickens 18.9%

Quarterbacks

Six QBs were among the top 50 most chopped players last week.

Most Chopped QBs, Week 12
Team Position Player Chopped %
PHI QB Jalen Hurts 21.3%
DET QB Jared Goff 17.1%
BUF QB Josh Allen 16.7%
CIN QB Joe Burrow 15.7%
ARI QB Kyler Murray 15.4%
BAL QB Lamar Jackson 13.4%

Jalen Hurts is very safe and should be added if your QB isn’t as consistent. Even his dud weeks are solid and he’s free from the dreaded Week 14 bye-apocalypse. His dual-threat ability warrants at least $50 but he may cost more if there are players with extra FAAB.

Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow are also good end-game QBs to have on your roster and should cost around $40. Keep in mind that Jackson is off next week.

Running Backs

Within the Top 50 most chopped players, 21 of them were RBs in Week 12, up two from last week.

Most Chopped RBs, Week 12
Team Position Player Chopped %
WAS RB Brian Robinson 22.7%
IND RB Jonathan Taylor 22.1%
HOU RB Joe Mixon 21.0%
SF RB Christian McCaffrey 20.1%
NE RB Rhamondre Stevenson 20.0%
ARI RB James Conner 18.8%
LAR RB Kyren Williams 17.3%
ATL RB Bijan Robinson 17.3%
NO RB Alvin Kamara 17.1%
NYJ RB Breece Hall 17.0%
LAC RB J.K. Dobbins 16.7%
BUF RB James Cook 16.5%
PIT RB Najee Harris 16.5%
CHI RB D'Andre Swift 15.7%
SEA RB Kenneth Walker 15.5%
BAL RB Derrick Henry 15.4%
CIN RB Chase Brown 15.3%
NYG RB Tyrone Tracy 14.6%
KC RB Kareem Hunt 13.90%
DET RB David Montgomery 13.8%
CAR RB Chuba Hubbard 13.2%

Brian Robinson was the most chopped RB last week after leaving the game due to an ankle injury. It’s unclear if he’ll be back this week but also has a bye in Week 14 so he’s a risky add. I wouldn’t go more than $1 if you still want the Washington RB.

Jonathan Taylor is in this column every week and it’s always the same blurb. He hasn't produced like a top back regardless of who’s under center and also hasn't found the end zone since Week 8. Sunday, he may be alright against the Patriots but then he has a bye and two tough contests against Denver and Tennessee in Weeks 15 and 16. If you’re into Taylor at this point in the season, please don't spend more than $10.

Joe Mixon has struggled in efficiency in recent weeks mostly due to poor offensive line play but his volume makes up for any fantasy disappointment. He does have a Week 14 bye which isn’t ideal, but Mixon is still worth pursuing for around $100. Just grab a free agent with a soft Week 14 matchup like Bucky Irving or Tony Pollard to get you through.

Christian McCaffrey was chopped at the third-highest rate among RBs as he’s struggled to score since his return. Injuries have affected the 49ers' o-line but CMC has some games coming up with weaker pass defenses than runs, so he could pan out via the air. Spend $50-$60.

Some other big names on this chopped list last week who are worth rostering for the long haul are Derrick Henry, Kyren Williams, Alvin Kamara, Chase Brown, and David Montgomery. All should garner bids in the $50-$75 range.

Standard Waiver RBs

Keep an eye on Jeremy McNichols and Gus Edwards who could be in for large upticks in volume if the guys in front of them don’t go this week due to injury.

Wide Receivers

Nineteen WRs were among the 50 most chopped players after the Week 12 games finished.

Most Chopped WRs, Week 12
Team Position Player Chopped %
MIN WR Justin Jefferson 27.0%
PIT WR George Pickens 18.9%
CIN WR Ja'Marr Chase 18.4%
DET WR Amon-Ra St. Brown 18.4%
MIA WR Tyreek Hill 18.3%
SF WR Deebo Samuel 17.9%
SEA WR DK Metcalf 17.2%
GB WR Jayden Reed 16.2%
BAL WR Zay Flowers 15.1%
ARI WR Marvin Harrison Jr. 14.8%
IND WR Josh Downs 14.7%
ATL WR Drake London 14.7%
NYJ WR Garrett Wilson 14.6%
NYG WR Malik Nabers 14.5%
DAL WR CeeDee Lamb 14.00%
SF WR Jauan Jennings 13.60%
TB WR Mike Evans 13.50%
CIN WR Tee Higgins 13.30%
LAC WR Ladd McConkey 13.10%

Justin Jefferson was chopped at the highest rate in the NFL last week which was a whopping 27%. He’s been getting swarmed on every play and hasn’t Hit the Griddy in five games. We all know what he’s capable of every single week so he should be added for around $100.

George Pickens, and his managers, were victims of the weather but he’s been fairly reliable with Russell Wilson at the helm. Plus matchups with the Bengals and Browns should do him right, and Pickens can likely be had for under $20.

There are some monster WRs among the top 50 so if Ja'Marr Chase, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Tyreek Hill, Malik Nabers, Drake London, or DK Metcalf are there for you, feel free to plop down bids anywhere from $50 to $100.

Tight Ends

There were four TEs among the 50 most chopped players in Week 12 which is three fewer than last week.

Most Chopped TEs, Week 12
Team Position Player Chopped %
LV TE Brock Bowers 21.4%
TB TE Cade Otton 19.4%
CLE TE David Njoku 17.2%
KC TE Travis Kelce 15.6%

All four of these TEs are worth rostering down the stretch. Brock Bowers should cost you somewhere between $75-$100, while the other three may go anywhere from $5 to $20.
