Roethlisberger attempted 55 passes and threw for 380 yards and three touchdowns. He will be without his top weapon since Antonio Brown is out.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (rib, probable) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week and is probable for Week 19. Lacy should continue to play through the injury.

Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (abdomen, probable) took full practice reps again Thursday and is probable for Week 19. Lynch says he’s “ready” for this weekend’s game against the Panthers. Lynch carried the ball 17 times for 54 yards and a TD in his Week 6 meeting with Carolina.

Broncos RB Juwan Thompson (illness, probable) was limited Friday after taking full reps earlier in the week and is probable for Week 19.

Seahawks RB Will Tukuafu (hamstring, doubtful) missed practice again Thursday and is doubtful for Week 19.

Chiefs RB Spencer Ware (ankle, questionable) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week and is questionable for Week 19. Ware figures to play against the Patriots. Ware out-touched Charcandrick West 16-to-9 last week against the Texans, and he also out-touched West 16-to-14 in Week 17. The ankle injury makes him tough to count on this week, however.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns said Monday that he plans on having surgery to repair a sports hernia next week.

Hurns played nearly the entire season with the injury, yet he still caught 64 passes for 1,031 yards and 10 touchdowns. He missed only one game, and that was because of a concussion.

If Jaguars coach Gus Bradley is planning on shaking up his staff, he wasn’t providing any details today in his 36-minute press conference to wrap up the team’s 5-11 season.

The Jaguars closed the year Sunday with a 30-6 thumping at the hands of Houston.

“I want to get the truth – that’s what I want,” Bradley said. “You’ll say, ‘Gus, you had all season.’ A lot of the truths I know. But I think one of the things in my conversations with [GM] Dave [Caldwell] and [owner] Shad [Khan] is to do the due diligence and get all of the information and really have a strong sense. Until I do that, I’ll respect that [approach].”

Jerry Jones has made no secret that the Dallas Cowboys need to address their quarterback position behind Tony Romo.

They will have a few months to determine how they want to go about it after Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassel and Kellen Moore combined to go 1-11 in Romo’s absence.

But the owner and general manager liked what he saw from Moore, so much so that he believes Moore could be a viable No. 2 quarterback.

“His background and (offensive coordinator Scott Linehan’s) background with him and these games, I think he’s got the potential to be a winning (backup),” Jones said. “I think he can ultimately win games in the NFL.”

Moore completed 33-of-48 passes for 435 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday’s 34-23 loss to the Washington Redskins. In three games of action, Moore had four touchdowns and six interceptions.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Robert Woods revealed Monday that he played 14 games this season with a torn groin after injuring himself in a training camp joint practice with the Cleveland Browns last August.

"I battled through it pretty much all year, and then it finally went out," he said.

Asked how much it limited his performance this season, Woods responded, "I think a lot. I wasn't able to really run too much or open up."

Chris Grier, the Dolphins director of college scouting, has officially been promoted to general manager.

He will work under Dolphins executive vice president of football operations Mike Tannenbaum.

Grier has been in the Dolphins organization since 2000 and interviews for the Jets GM job a year ago.

A report today surfaced that the team is interviewing Mike Shanahan for a second time for a possible head coach position.

The New England Patriots altered their running back rotation in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins, turning to veteran Steven Jackson as their top power option.

Jackson played 24 offensive snaps and finished with 14 carries for 35 yards (2.5 yards per carry) with one touchdown. The scoring run, a two-yarder in the third quarter, showed that Jackson can be a hammer close to the goal line.

“Once we get in those situations where we have to grind out yardage, that’s where I have to make sure I pull my weight on the team,” Jackson said. “Inside zone, I bounced the play outside and had a [defensive back] there, so I just had to lower my pads to get in the end zone.”

New Orleans Saints tight end Ben Watson picked a good time to post the best numbers of his career.

Watson, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, has caught 68 passes for a career-high 766 yards and five touchdowns with one game left to go. For only the second time in his career, he has started every game he's played.

If most players are supposed to decline over the age of 30, Watson, 35, might be aging backwards.

If the Sean Peyton and Drew Brees combo sticks around in New Orleans, it's possible they bring back Watson, too. It's one of the many offseason stories to keep an eye on.

The shoulder holds up well during games, allowing Redskins running back Chris Thompson to ignore the reality of his injury for a few hours. A day or so later, the pain in his shoulder serves as a constant reminder.

But it’s a pain Thompson is fine enduring for now.

“I’ll be OK going forward, but sometimes I get worried about what the news might be after the season,” said Thompson, who has 35 catches for 240 yards and two touchdowns as well as 28 runs for 197 yards this season. “I’m not worried about game time, it’s what we have to do during the offseason.”

In other words, if he’ll need surgery to repair the torn labrum in his shoulder. But Thompson will continue to play with the injury, knowing he must always prove his durability and knowing that the Redskins might need him. Rookie running back Matt Jones is bothered by a hip pointer that sidelined him in practice again Friday.

Thompson had been the Redskins’ third-down back until his injury. That led to the team signing Pierre Thomas, who has helped the past three games with eight catches for 79 yards. Both Thomas and Thompson were active against the Eagles Saturday. That’ll likely be the case Sunday as well, the story said. But with Thompson's injury and the way Thomas played last week against the Eagles, it would be hard to trust Thompson.

Bengals WR Marvin Jones (hamstring, probable) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week and is probable for Week 17. Jones will play against the Ravens.

Patriots WR Brandon LaFell (foot, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 17. LaFell has been disappointing given his opportunity in the New England passing game, but he should be able to continue to play through the foot injury.

Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee, probable) took limited practice reps all week and is probable for Week 17. Landry is good to go for a date with the Patriots.

Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (groin, questionable) took limited practice reps again Friday and is questionable for Week 17. Johnson will apparently be a game-time decision. The Chargers play late on Sunday.

Jaguars WR Allen Robinson (shoulder, probable) took full practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 17. Robinson should be fine to face the Texans.

Bears WR Eddie Royal (illness, doubtful) missed practice all week and is doubtful for Week 17. With Royal out, Josh Bellamy, Marc Mariani and Cameron Meredith figure to lead the Chicago receivers in snaps. Bellamy has the most appeal from a Sneaky Start standpoint.

Lions WR Calvin Johnson (ankle, questionable) missed practice Friday after taking limited reps Thursday and is questionable for Week 17. Johnson said that he will play against the Bears on Sunday and has played through the ankle injury (and a questionable tag) in each of the last five weeks. In his last four games against Chicago, he has averaged 7.3 receptions for 125 yards and 1.3 TD.

Redskins WR DeSean Jackson (knee, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 17. Washington may rest their key players, and D-Jax certainly qualifies.

Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (neck, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 17.

Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle, probable) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week and is probable for Week 17. Fitzgerald was listed as probable with an ankle injury for six consecutive weeks, but wasn’t on the injury report at all last week. We expect him to play through the ankle injury in a meaningful game for the Cardinals.

Cardinals WR Michael Floyd (knee, questionable) returned to take limited reps Friday after missing practice earlier in the week and is questionable for Week 17. Floyd seems iffy for Week 17. If he’s out, J.J. Nelson likely replaces Floyd in the lineup. The last time Floyd missed a game (Week 11), Nelson racked up 142 yards and a TD on four catches while playing 63% of the snaps. The Cardinals play late on Sunday.

Panthers WR Ted Ginn (knee, doubtful) missed practice all week and is doubtful for Week 17. The doubtful tag indicates Ginn will not play, so owners should make other plans. Corey Brown and Devin Funchess both get a bump, and even Jerricho Cotchery is worth a look in PPR formats.

Denard Robinson has only gained 48 rushing yards on 20 carries in favorable matchups over the last two weeks, so it’s not surprising that the team wants to evaluate Gray, who had success while playing for the Patriots.

Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 17. Amendola was limited all last week and then didn’t play against the Jets.

Cowboys WR Cole Beasley (knee, probable) took limited practice reps all week and is probable for Week 17.

Raiders WR Amari Cooper (foot, probable) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week and is probable for Week 17. Cooper was very limited against the Chargers on Christmas Eve, playing only 27% of the snaps. He’s a risky play given his practice activity and a tough matchup with the Chiefs, but the probable tag means that he should play his full complement of snaps.

Jets WR Eric Decker (knee, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 17. No worries here.

Redskins RB Chris Thompson (shoulder, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 17.

Redskins RB Pierre Thomas (knee, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 17.

Cardinals RB Stepfan Taylor (shoulder, probable) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week and is probable for Week 17.

Redskins RB Matt Jones (hip, doubtful) missed practice again Friday and is doubtful for Week 17. Jones suffered a setback this week, so Alfred Morris figures to get most of the carries unless the team decides to rest him as well.

Ravens RB Kyle Juszczyk (illness, probable) took full practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 17.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (rib, probable) took limited practice reps all week and is probable for Week 17. Lacy was seen holding his ribs after scoring a touchdown against the Cardinals. As long as he’s productive, he should see a good workload against the Vikings, but a hard hit on the ribs could lead to more touches for James Starks.

Buccaneers RB Jorvorskie Lane (illness, probable) returned to take full practice reps Friday after missing practice Thursday and is probable for Week 17.

Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (abdomen, out) was ruled out for Week 17 and is out for Week 17.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy (knee, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 17. McCoy is looking iffy with the knee injury, so Karlos Williams and Mike Gillislee will once again share the work in the Buffalo backfield. Williams out-touched Gillislee 19-to-11 in Week 16, but Gillislee outgained Williams 109-to-97.

Texans RB Chris Polk (knee, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 17.
