Steelers TE Vance McDonald (not injury related) returned to full practice reps Thursday after missing Wednesday. McDonald should be fine for Week 9.

This should correct itself in Week 9 against a Jaguars defense that has yielded the fifth-most 40+ yard receptions and the seventh-most 20+ receptions.

Redskins WR Steven Sims (toe) took full practice reps again Thursday.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) took full practice reps Thursday. Shepard is on track to return this week. Consider him a WR4 in a fairly tough matchup against the Cowboys.

Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (shoulder) returned to full practice reps Thursday after missing Wednesday. The full session puts Samuel on track to play in Week 9.

Patriots WR Gunner Olszewski (ankle, hamstring) took limited practice reps again Thursday.

Redskins RB Adrian Peterson (ankle) missed practice again Thursday. Peterson remained sidelined, but he played through the injury last week (on a short week) and should be able to play in Week 9. If he can't, Wendell Smallwood would likely serve as the team's RB1 against the Bills.

Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (knee) took full practice reps Thursday after being limited Wednesday. McCaffrey will pay through the knee injury, but it's a reminder that once owners get past their bye weeks, they should look to pick up high-upside handcuffs like Reggie Bonnafon.

Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay (wrist) took limited practice reps Wednesday. The full practice is a good sign for Lindsay heading into Week 9. He'll be out there against the Browns.

If Conner is unable to play, Jaylen Samuels would likely serve as the lead back and would be ranked as a fantasy RB2. Whoever is the No. 2 will have some RB3/flex value with big upside given the potency of the San Francisco running game.

Smith caught three passes for 64 yards after his snaps spiked (to 83%) in Week 7. Last year, he put together a nice run of games toward the end of the season, catching 13 passes for 185 yards and three touchdowns in a four-game span.

The Arizona defense has struggled to cover tight ends all season, though Evan Engram had a quiet game last week. Rhett Ellison (2-33-1), Austin Hooper (8-117-1) and Will Dissly (7-57-1) all posted good-to-great fantasy lines in recent weeks.

Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip) took full practice reps again Friday.

Raiders WR Tyrell Williams (foot, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 8. It looks like he will return this week. He averaged 54.0 yards receiving and found the endzone in four straight games before his injury. He won't have a better matchup all year: Houston is No. 29 in WR aFPA.

Bills WR Duke Williams (shoulder, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 8.

Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook (neck, shoulder, questionable) returned to take limited reps Friday after missing practice earlier in the week and is questionable for Week 8. He's expected to play against the Jets.
